Industry Experience
In the last five years the focus has been on website and other on-line marketing and strategic development; short-term General Management assignments; a diversified range of brand strategy projects with leading brands management in many sectors including Food & Beverages, Health Care, Pharmaceuticals, Advertising and Media.
The Principals ‘Big Brand’ Record
Jill’s marketing experience was built in large marketing teams in corporate environments and in advertising. As Marketing Director or General Manager in large corporations, she has valuable exposure to the cross functional issues in organizations facilitating fast understanding of an assignment's needs.
Commencing with industrial products market research, then brand management at the Amcal Pharmacy chain, followed by product management for Nivea and Elastoplast. Progressing to Marketing Management for the Victorian Dairy Industry Authority - building brands for various stakeholders including farmers, milk processors and taxpayers alike - but of course focused on satisfying consumers of Big M, Rev, Skinny Milk and the processor brands of whole milk, like Pura.
At DDB Needham Worldwide Advertising, Health Care Division came the opportunity to experience and guide the large pharmaceutical giants like Glaxo and ER Squibb (now Bristol Myer) but also to assist the small ‘not-for-profits’ like SIDS Red Nose Day, the Arthritis Foundation and the National Asthma Campaign, with effective marketing strategies and advertising on very small budgets.
Beverages experience continued with Carlton & United Breweries’ VB and Carlton Cold followed by the opportunity to develop and launch Sub Zero - the first Ready-To-Drink alcoholic soda. It went on to spawn an entire new category of adult beverages world-wide. Many others - Walt Disney's, BVHE video division, Simplots frozen foods (Bird’s Eye, I&J), the Australian Dairy Corporation’s advertising strategies and many others both as employee and then as contractor or consultant.
